PROFILE

Fr. Adolf Washington was ordained on 4th May 2000 at St. Francis Xaviers Cathedral by Archbishop Ignatius Pinto for the Archdiocese of Bangalore.  He served at Our Lady of Victories Church, Kolar Gold Fields as a Deacon, then as Assistant Parish Priest at Sacred Heart Church, Bangalore, for a period of 3 years and 2 years as Director of the Bangalore Archdiocesan Minor Seminary and also Vocation Promoter in the Archdiocese.  He is now Parish Priest of St. Peters Church, on Airport Road in Bangalore.

Fr. Washington is also President of The Indian Catholic Press Association (estb 1964), a body of over 200 media professionals in the secular and relgiious media.  He is Editor-in-Chief and Managing Director of South Asian Religious News, the largest and oldest Catholic news agency in India.  He is also member of the International Union of the Catholic Press (Geneva).
